About the event
At the center of yoga is one of the most complex and interesting structures of the human body, the spine. The mobility, stability, and overall health of the spine is the reason that many seek yoga initially. However, this amazing structure affects and influences so many areas and systems of the body that we often don’t think much about. For instance, a strong and supple spine ensures not only the efficiency of the nervous system but also the health and longevity of it.
Throughout this advanced yoga teacher training module, through asana practice and lecture, we will move through an in-depth study of the structures and functions of the spine. We will study healthy alignment of the spine to better develop strength and flexibility, as well as, common injuries, issues, and imbalances and how to address them in a yoga class.
Classes will consist of a blend of lecture, discussion, practice, and interactive exploration. Bring a notebook, yoga mat, and your enthusiasm for learning!
This training qualifies for 17 CEU's with Yoga Alliance.
This module is part of the OmBodies Yoga 500-hour Advanced Teacher Training and is available to registrants of the Advanced Teacher Training Program. This is a three day training and counts as 17 CEU's with Yoga Allince or 17 hours toward the OmBodies Yoga Advanced Teacher Training Certification.
