Build the Capacity for the Life You Want to Live.

You deserve to feel strong, confident, and capable—not just during exercise, but in the everyday moments that matter most.

Whether you're looking to move with greater ease, better understand your body, prepare for healthy aging, or become a more knowledgeable movement professional, you're in the right place.

With Heather is home to The EveryDay Athlete—a growing collection of movement classes, educational resources, books, courses, and teacher trainings designed to help you build Body Literacy and create functional longevity.

Because healthy aging isn't about doing everything perfectly.

It's about understanding your body, making intentional choices, and building the capacity to keep doing the things you love for years to come.

Heather Otterbine

Hi There! I'm Heather  Otterbine...

I help adults build Body Literacy so they can move with confidence, adapt to life's changes, and create functional longevity.

I'm Heather Otterbine, creator of The EveryDay Athlete. and founder of OmBodies Yoga & Functional Wellness.

For more than 20 years, I've helped thousands of people discover that healthy aging isn't about chasing perfection or finding the next quick fix. It's about learning to understand your body, building the capacity to do the things you love, and making small, meaningful choices that add up over time.

Through practical education, purposeful movement, and a healthy dose of curiosity, I help people become stronger, more capable, and more confident for the life they want to live. Whether we're working on strength, balance, mobility, endurance, or recovery, the goal is always the same: helping you build a better relationship with the body that carries you through your beautifully unpredictable life.

My work combines more than two decades of teaching experience with advanced training in yoga, therapeutic movement, functional wellness, and healthy aging. But more than anything, it's shaped by years of listening to real people, watching how bodies adapt, and learning that lasting change rarely comes from doing more—it comes from understanding more.

That's why I created The EveryDay Athlete.

Because I believe every one of us is an athlete in our everyday life. Whether you're carrying groceries, climbing stairs, playing with your grandchildren, gardening, traveling, or simply wanting to remain independent for years to come, your body deserves to be prepared for the life you want to live.

Because I believe your body isn't something to fight against.

It's something to learn from.

And when you learn to understand it, you can change the way you think, move, and age.

I'm so glad you're here.

    The With Heather Ecosystem Philosophy

Wellness isn’t one-size-fits-all — and neither is learning.

When I created With Heather, I didn’t want to build a single course or a quick-fix promise. I wanted to create a living, breathing ecosystem — a place where every course, every resource, and every training connects to the next step in your personal or professional journey.

Each offering was intentionally designed to meet you where you are — whether you’re just beginning your yoga journey, preparing for teacher training, deepening your knowledge as a teacher, or exploring healthy aging and functional movement. Every course feeds into the next, creating a natural rhythm of growth, exploration, and empowerment.

This is not a linear path — it’s a loop of learning. You can step in anywhere, follow your curiosity, and know that you’re supported by intelligent, accessible, and heart-centered education that grows with you.

Because With Heather isn’t about doing more — it’s about deepening your understanding, refining your skills, and remembering that every step you take brings you closer to your most vibrant, capable, and confident self.

    Here’s to redefining what’s possible — together. 💫

    • "I have been a participating in Heather's Strong Bones, Healthy Aging Yoga + Fitness class since the beginning. I would highly recommend it for everyone who wants to maintain/improve their bone health, mobility, and strength. Heather is a knowledgeable, caring, friendly, affirming, and well educated teacher who offers poses, exercises, and modifications which meet the needs of all class participants. It is motivating to know why we are doing things a certain way as is the encouragement Heather offers during the challenging portions of the class. Although the class members have changed over the years, the class participants are consistently friendly and supportive which adds to the enjoyment of attending class." ~ Sue P.

    • "I met Heather nearly 2 years ago during my 200-hour yoga teacher training interview. At that point, fibromyalgia and long Covid had basically taken over my life. I lived in near constant pain and carried the fear of triggering more pain. I signed up for yoga teacher training because i felt I owed myself the chance to feel better. I cannot put into words what I actually received. Just over a year later, I finished my 200-hour certification and began working on my 500-hour certification. I've only had a few flare-ups in that time and can now pinpoint their causes...my body is stronger than it's ever been. This means that I can be there for my family in ways I hadn't been for a couple of years. That in itself, is HUGE. Heather has been such a constant throughout my journey, as difficult and frustrating as it often is. Support and advice she gives endlessly, and I am beyond grateful for her wisdom and heart. I cannot express how hopeful I am for the journey to come, all thanks to her mentorship." ~ Alisha F.

    • I wanted to explore and develop a deeper understanding of the yoga practice under the watchful eye of a passionate and wise teacher. With lots of research, I found OmBodies Yoga With Heather this is where my journey began. I had never met anyone that was so passionate about all things yoga! Do you know anyone that exudes excitement when they talk about fascia? I do now and knew little about it until my training began. Heather's credentials speak for themselves! She is always exploring new and creative ways to work with people and is continuously working to further her education so she can offer the very best to her students. My practice has become so much more connected through the study of alignment, anatomy, the art of sequencing and the importance of cueing as a yoga teacher. I am so glad I invested in this teacher training with an ethical, wise, and knowledgeable teacher who yearns to see people strive and grow."~Charissa B.
